Why Seeking Sits?

Hi there,

I'm a sitter — and a big fan of the TrustedHousesitters platform.

It's helped me travel in meaningful ways and connect with incredible homeowners around the world. But like many sitters, I've found myself wishing there were more ways to be proactive — especially when I'm hoping to visit a specific place at a specific time.

As it stands, sitters can't reach out unless a homeowner has an active listing. Meanwhile, homeowners have the ability to invite sitters anytime. It felt like there was a gap — not a flaw, just an opportunity.

So I created Seeking Sits.

It's a simple tool that lets sitters share where they're hoping to go, and when. Homeowners can subscribe to their location and get alerted when a sitter plans to visit. That way, they might plan a trip they'd been considering — knowing someone trusted will be nearby and available.

This isn't a replacement for TrustedHousesitters. It's not affiliated with them either. It's just a little extension — made by a sitter, for sitters — to help us connect sooner and travel better.
